Professor Chris Campbell
Owner / Head instructor
Professor Chris Campbell is a black belt under Professor Beau Babb. He is the owner and head instructor at Technique Lab Jiu Jitsu Academy. Chris has over 20 years of experience in various combat sports and martial arts, including wrestling, boxing, kickboxing, Muay Thai, Judo, and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (both gi and nogi). Chris is also a certified Lead Defensive Tactics Instructor for Washington State. He was certified by the Criminal Justice Training Center located in Burien Washington.
Professor Holly Campbell
Instructor
Holly is a black belt under Professor Chris Campbell and she brings a lot of technical knowledge and experience to the academy. She has been training for a decade. She does a fantastic job as an instructor. She is a successful competitor, and she has knowledge and experience in both grappling and striking.
Professor Jonathan Bates
Instructor
Jonathan is a first degree black belt, and is a lead Instructor here at Technique Lab. He is very well rounded, and has experience in Muay Thai as well as Jiu Jitsu. He runs a super fun, fast paced class with awesome technique and pushes the pace in a way that makes you excited to come back and train.
Professor Beau Babb

Professor Beau Babb is a second degree black belt under Professor George Hissung, and he has been teaching Jiu Jitsu for over 15 years. He has been the long time instructor of Professor Chris, Jonathan, and Holly. He has been an incredible mentor and instructor to all of us. He has a great way of communicating and breaking things down, he is highly knowledgable and well rounded. He is a true student of the art.

Professor Shannon Ramsey is a well rounded martial artist holding multiple black belts in different disciplines. She has been training Jiu Jitsu for over ten years, and is a long time student of Professor George Hissung. She now calls Technique Lab home and provides awesome insight and positive vibes wherever she goes.

Head Instructor at Hybrid Jiu Jitsu
Professor George Hissung is a fifth degree black belt under Professor Marcelo Alonso. He is the head instructor at Hybrid Jiu Jitsu Academy in Bremerton, WA and currently works as the lead defensive tactics instructor at the criminal justice training center in Washington state. Technique Lab is proudly affiliated with Professor George Hissung.
Message from the Founder
My name is Chris Campbell. I am the owner and head instructor at Technique Lab Jiu Jitsu Academy. I have been training combat sports and martial arts for over 20 years. I started wrestling in 1999 and transitioned to boxing after high school before training Kickboxing, Judo, Muay Thai, and finally Brazilian Jiu Jitsu for the last 12 years. I am also a certified Lead Defensive Tactics Instructor, certified through the Criminal Justice Training Center in Washington state. I’ve been teaching jiu jitsu to people of all ages and skill levels for the last 10 years. I’ve taught kids' classes, adult classes, advanced classes, teens' classes, women’s only classes, and self-defense classes. I’ve also run many successful kids' summer camps, and now I’m excited to bring the amazing art of Brazilian jiu jitsu to West Richland.
I am a black belt under Professor Beau Babb, who is a second degree black belt under Professor George Hissung. My wife, our two daughters, and I all train together, and we live here in West Richland. I have dedicated myself to becoming an excellent student and an excellent training partner and have developed a lot of knowledge, skill, and teaching ability throughout the years. I have always put an emphasis on quality, high standards, and attention to detail. I love developing positive relationships with people and sharing what I love with everyone who steps onto the mat. I’m really looking forward to training with you.
